St Cuthbert's Amateur Dramatic Society
Providing entertainment in the wider community!
Our committee meet on a regular basis to choose scripts for the two or three productions we stage each year. Each year our main production is a pantomime, one of the first of the season being staged during the week following Remembrance Day. For this mammoth production we draw from the parish, our primary school and uniformed organisations along with local interested thespians and willing helpers.
In the summer time, we have great fun in the preparation and performance of a Murder Mystery Play! The evening is enjoyed by many with a potato pie supper and a licensed bar! We also like to put on a play, quite often a comedy, in the spring - but this doesn't happen every year.
We are always on the look out for new faces and in the next few months hope to put a lot of time and energy into increasing our membership and friends of the society. We are looking for help on stage, back stage, wardrobe, choreography, front of house, in the admin department or in the many other areas that together enable our society to provide entertainment in the wider community. If you have an interest in any aspects our society and would like to try your hand in one of the many areas we'd love to hear from you.

Our society is affectionately known as SCADS. We are a small group of keen amateurs who enjoy contributing towards the performances we put on in order to provide entertainment in our local community. Our stage, in St Chad's Theatre, is within St Cuthbert's Primary School on St Alban's Road in Darwen.
